Since 2008 there has been an extreme make-over taking place culminating in the re-opening of the hotel late in 2011.

The two galleries; the Community Gallery and the New Zealand Steel Gallery show varied programmes of both local and national artists. Thanks to the generous support of New Zealand Steel, these galleries in Franklin: The Centre, Pukekohe, provide a flexible exhibition space with international-standard facilities.
