The walkway, which connects the settlements of Beachlands and Maraetai, has significant Maori and European history and boasts an array of interesting flora and fauna. Views of Waiheke Island, the Hauraki Gulf and the Coromandel Peninsula can be seen here.
The Beachlands-Maraetai walkway is considerd to be a great asset to the community and one to be very proud of.
This is an area where families can enjoy the wonderful coastline and dogs can be exercised - leashed or unleashed and under control.
The walkway is wheelchair accessible and suitable for prams, although the path is unsealed in some sections.
The walk takes around 90 minutes to complete.
