Glenbrook Vintage Railway - A rail enthusiasts' heaven! Hop aboard lovingly restored and maintained steam engine train for a journey into yesteryear. Situated in the picturesque Franklin countryside on Glenbrook Station Road, (about 9km from Waiuku), the railway operates from Labour Weekend through to Queen's Birthday, on Sundays and most public holidays.

The Kentish Hotel

 
The Kentish Hotel - Waiuku's Queen Street is home to the oldest licensed hotel building in New Zealand. The elegant 'Kentish' was built in 1851. Since that time it has hosted many distinguished guests and was saved from a nearby fire by locals in 1926. The Kentish is full of history and charm and well worth a visit.
