Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society Show
A weekend packed full of animals and entertainment. Agricultural show featuring cattle, sheep, horses, alpacas, sheep dogs trials, shearing and goats. Entertainment includes Counties Strongest Man event, Kiwi loggersports, sheep racing - "Sheeplechase" and fairground rides.
Friday 19th Primary Schools "Top Team" competition and horse events ONLY. Indoor section hall open from 11:00am. No trade open on Friday. Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 all aspects of the show open.

Situated in the picturesque Franklin countryside on Glenbrook Station Road, (about 9km from Waiuku), the railway operates from Labour Weekend through to Queen's Birthday, on Sundays and most public holidays.
Alexandra Redoubt Road, Tuakau
The Alexandra Redoubt was built in July 1863 by a detachment of the 65th Regiment. It is the best preserved of all the military posts and was built in 1863 - 64. Further information about this historic site is available at Franklin i-SITE Visitor Centres.
