Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society Show

A weekend packed full of animals and entertainment. Agricultural show featuring cattle, sheep, horses, alpacas, sheep dogs trials, shearing and goats.  Entertainment includes Counties Strongest Man event, Kiwi loggersports, sheep racing - "Sheeplechase" and fairground rides.

Friday 19th Primary Schools "Top Team" competition and horse events ONLY. Indoor section hall open from 11:00am.  No trade open on Friday.  Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 all aspects of the show open.

Date:  20 & 21 February 2010

Location:  Pukekohe Showgrounds, 58 Station Road, Pukekohe.  Free parking off Birch road.

Time:  Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm       Sunday 9:00 - 4:30pm

Cost:  $10:00 p/adult   Children under 12 & accompanied by an adult - free

Alexandra Redoubt

Alexandra Redoubt Road, Tuakau

The Alexandra Redoubt was built in July 1863 by a detachment of the 65th Regiment. It is the best preserved of all the military posts and was built in 1863 - 64. Further information about this historic site is available at Franklin i-SITE Visitor Centres.
