Wrights Watergardens Lotus Festival

Come and visit these picturesque sacred Lotus Flowers when they are at their best.  Visit the Cafe, Aquatic nursery and Gift Shop that is set in six acres of stunning watergardens where natural waterfalls have transformed an abandaned quarry into a relaxing oasis.

The gardens are a great place for a family day out.  Kids especially love the turtle colony and the eel pond.  Dogs are welcome in our garden, we do ask that you keep them on a leash and clean up any mess the dog may make.

Date:  Lotus Festival beginning Saturday 30 January - Sunday 14 February

Location:  Wrights Watergardens, 128 Mauku Road, Patumahoe

Time:  Open Wednesday - Sunday  from 10:00am - 4:30pm CLOSED Monday and Tuesday

Cost: To view watergardens - $8:00 adult,  Seniors $7:00, Child $4:00,  Family $20:00

Alexandra Redoubt

Alexandra Redoubt Road, Tuakau

The Alexandra Redoubt was built in July 1863 by a detachment of the 65th Regiment. It is the best preserved of all the military posts and was built in 1863 - 64. Further information about this historic site is available at Franklin i-SITE Visitor Centres.
